Since he was admitted to the bar in 1967 in Texas and Arkansas, Winford Dunn has tried jury cases in state courts of Arkansas and Texas, U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Texas, U.S. District Court in the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, and the 5th and 8th Circuits of the U.S. Court of Appeals. Litigation including jury trials, accounts for 85% of his practice.
A native of De Kalb, Texas and graduate of the University of Texas Law School in 1967, Mr. Dunn is proud to participate in Morgan, Cook and Beck, LLP’s ongoing legacy of service to the Texarkana community. He is a member of the Texas and Arkansas Bar Foundations, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, and has also served as President of the East Texas Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), and as National Director of ABOTA since 1997. He served a six (6) year term on the Arkansas Bar Examiner. Winford has participated in CLE seminar, Master in Trial Program of ABOTA in the United States, Latvia, South Korea and Japan. He has been selected several times as a Super Lawyer in Texas and the Mid South. Mr. Dunn is a member and past officer of Rotary Club, and a member of the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce.
